Hypax 450 Emulsifiable Calcium Soap
Hypax Emulsifiable Calcium Soap is a prepared Calcium Soap
of H.450 Oxidised Wax. using a high molecular wt. Basic Calcium
Sulphonate in the presence of a surfactant.The product will
form a W/O type emulsion and provide a soft gelled smooth
paste consistency at 20 % wt. in water.
The formed thixotropic emulsions are suitable for spray application
where good edge coverage and penetration is required.

Preparation of 20 % w/w emulsion
Charge 80 parts water to vessel and heat to 50°C
Preheat H.450 E.C.S. to 70°C and charge to vessel
Commence stirring using a paddle mixer and heat to 65-70°C.
Continue stirring at 65-70°C until a viscous smooth emulsion
is formed then discharge into receiving vessel.
